Dark Mud is the foundation tone for anything that's been through the wet stuff. It's the deep base you lay down before working lighter mud tones over the top, and it's just as good splashed and streaked fresh across running gear and wheel arches to suggest recent, sticky mess. Best for Fresh, wet mud under vehicles and wheels A dark base layer under lighter mud tones Splashes and streaking on running gear Real mud is never one flat colour — lay this down first and build the rest of the weathering on top of it. The base tone a convincing mud job is built on. Grab a thinner to control the streaking, and build the effect further with the weathering range.
